MODEL RESPIRATORY PROTECTION PROGRAM (MRPP)

The Model Respiratory Protection Program (MRPP) has been developed and designed to provide skilled nursing facilities and other long-term care providers with a manual (tools and information) needed to set up a respiratory protection program for their employees.  By implementing the MRPP, it is hoped that the individual facilities will be able to reduce or limit morbidity, mortality, and the spread of disease among staff and patients.  Facilities able to implement and sustain a respiratory protection plan will be able to contribute to the public health response during a communicable respiratory disease emergency.
